How about we have competing models.   I'll set up a natural systems 
model show what's happening in the present, someone else set up a 
curve fitting and projection to show what approximately happened in 
the past and someone else set up a community of autonomous agents 
following uncontrovercial rules with probable starting conditions and 
let them go crazy...   Any takers?
