   Wow, the NumberSmasher people are still around!  I thought the name 
sounded familiar and I checked out the corporate history.  I remember 
working on a NumberSmasher and later on their transputer co-processor board.

   Long ago, Microway and Hauppage were rivals in the numeric 
co-processor world.  They have both survived over twenty years in a very 
volatile industry and seem to be doing just fine.  Has anyone done any 
analysis of how these smaller businesses survive the jungle?
