[FRIAM] Off-topic: large-scale energy-efficient products

As someone joked here in a recent thread
about an "imminent burst of improved efficiency"
or some such, a colleague in Hong Kong is looking
for energy efficient products, especially those
amenable to congested high-rise environments
such as China's metropolises. If anyone knows
of anything new and compelling, I'd appreciate
a link.
