It's possible to copy the entire format of one chart and paste it onto a
new chart.  Make the source chart active and hit Ctrl-C, then make the
destination chart active and use the "Paste Special" option to paste only
the formatting onto the new chart.  This will definitely paste the color
scheme in, but should also paste any other changes you've made in the
source file, e.g. changes to the default axes and probably manual changes
to labels and titles.
