   Robert,

I agree that art is no refuge from the consequences of ideas or
manipulation by economic or political forces. This is why among other
things I have created a new and practical economic paradigm through
which an individual?s financial rewards for his or her actions and his
or her values can be closely aligned with boundaries and limitations
for those that want to destroy life. I wish and welcome all of your
experimentation with this economic paradigm at www.wkbank.com. Why not
try it? I don?t think though there is any category or class of human
activity that is immune from manipulation. I do think some economic
systems make manipulation more likely and more grievous, an obvious
extreme examples would be slavery, indenture servitude?etc. But any
inference that artists might attain or retain a higher character by
doing their work for free is not only wrong in my view but creates
more suffering. We might well be reminded of how judges of our highest
court are treated in the US. They will never be billionaires but they
will live with enough resources to keep their minds on their work.
