Hi Jon, that’s a pretty interesting dialogue. Do you happen to know what heteroscedasticity is? It is a condition in which the variances of the sub groups cannot be assumed to arise from a single population of her answers hence it is improper to do an analysis of variance in which the subjects the sub groups display this property. Oddly related to the problem at hand, although not directly so. Thanks for sharing. Nick
