So, analogous to the fervid recruitment of COBOL programmers, they are trying to recruit anyone who has either had a pilot's license or a subscription to any kind of flying magazine.<br></div><div style="font-family:Arial;"><br></div><div style="font-family:Arial;">I have a friend with a drug conviction — about the only thing that will disqualify you from getting a pilot's license. He has been recruited, with assurance that the company will be able to get around the law on that point.<br></div><div style="font-family:Arial;"><br></div><div style="font-family:Arial;">Like you, the day I finished such a course, I would be several years past the mandatory retirement age for commercial pilots.
