That flight took us back over Seattle, Anchorage, and the Kamchatka peninsula. You can’t say that we were never over the Pacific, but we were never very far from land.</div><div><br></div><div>Another factoid, sometimes useful for a bet when sharing a beer, is that any two places north of latitude 45 are at most 6000 miles apart.
