<p class="MsoNormal">In case anyone is forced to use Windows:  I do believe Microsoft finally figured out a nice way to handle X11 with WSL2 in Windows 11.

<p class="MsoNormal">Ubuntu can be installed from the Microsoft Store and when the terminal is brought up it has the DISPLAY variable set by default.   No installing/starting a third party X11 server.   Just works.</p>
