I'm not sure how you achieve your larding... an extra line-feed and indention of the material you are responding to might make it easier to parse. Also, it is redundant for you to tag your own words in what is implicitely YOUR message and NOT that of the one you are responding to? Leading Glen's (or anyone's) words helps US remember who you are responding to (though YOU know it implicitely, we likely forgot who said what last?).

I know Glen has implied (stated bluntly?) in the past that he doesn't approve of larding... or more likely has more specific issues with certain styles of larding?

I find it an efficient method for making this medium/channel *more* conversational, post-hoc editing one's responses into the stream of monolog that would have been more of a dialog if we were face-to-face? I think maybe this is what Glen objects to... trying to force one form into another? I think of it as a hybrid that may or may not have the vigor one seeks when hybridizing.

I know everyone picks on you here (almost as a blood-sport?) to some extent, and it almost seems as if you enjoy it, but I don't want to overdo it with the "NickPicking"... I really am trying to transmit (without sitting cheek-to-jowl with you) how you can make your larding more conventional and therefore less distracting.

Now, how to deflate my own bloviation...

- Steve

Carry on!

- Steve
