<p>Now you have more ( AMOC ) to worry about ;^) Unless you are
part of the TM (transcendental meditation) crowd who seek to
enlist the square-root of 1% of the population to pray (erh.
meditate) for whirled peas, I'm not sure "worrying" helps much.
I guess meditation is roughly the opposite of "worrying"? <br>

<p><snarky TM anecdote>My MAGA sister/b-in-law get up at 3AM

<p>After visiting Sweden/Denmark/Netherlands in 2019 as I was
focusing (thanks Merle) yet more on climate change issues (I did a
short stint late 90s with LANL proto-climate scientists), I
imagined it would be a great immigration destination for folks
with such inclination and option. As the AMOC issue became more
evident to me the mild weather one experiences in northern Europe
these days it doesn't seem like such a great plan. <br>

<p><snarky climate awareness anecdote> I paid the "carbon
offset" tax for my flights but by any measure that trip burned
my whole year's carbon budget... WTF? And I think it was 10
years of a 3rd worlder's typical consumption. WTF (what the
frick-n-frack)? FWIW Greta was traveling from the US to Spain
for that year's climate meeting on an electric-sailboat so I was
double-shamed</snark> <br>

<p>The Southern version SOOC (Southern Oceanic Overturn Current?) is
apparently less fragile but if the Atlantic pattern falls into a
new regime/phase, the jet stream will (at least) get much more
variable which will make for (yet more) variable weather in the
rest (other than Atlantic Seaboard) in North America. <br>

<p>Like maybe this Bomb Cyclone event sneaking up on the PNW
(Pacific NorthWest) about now... image how an "atmospheric river"
of mulberry-paper incendiary baloons might get spun across North
America with that?<br>
