<p>Yay NM (and CO/WY)?<br>
</p>
<p><a

class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://www.elevatequantum.org/elevate-quantum-funding-faq/</a></p>
<p>I'm always puzzled by these kinds of funding patterns, though I
do understand (vaguely) the synergistic possibilities of
regional/local concentrations. It feels almost entirely
political... senators and governors making deals, etc.</p>
<p>With the new American Oligarchy and Trumpian retribution I'm
expecting all this funding will be pulled from NM/CO
(liberal/blue/sanctuary/failing states) and passed to WY,
especially since they (WY) eagerly 'canceled' Liz Cheney
on-command?</p>
<p>As an interesting aside, perhaps the cross-fertilization between
Quantum-Woo and Blockchain-Woo (via <a
href="https://www.uwyo.edu/news/2025/01/blockchain-visionary-hoskinson-to-speak-at-uw-jan-31.html">IOG/Cardano
situated in WY</a>) and Nuke-Woo (<a
href="https://www.terrapower.com/">Bill Gates/TerraPower</a>)
will yield something unique (albeit dangerous as hell?). </p>
<p>As a generalist with no significant depth, I can't say I really
understand or appreciate the full range of any such tech thrust (Q
or BC or 21st C Nukes or AI) so probably can't begin to appreciate
the possibilities implied by the "soft assembly" (cross-product)
of the components of either, but from my 50k high view it looks
possible?</p>
<p>I know we have our resident QC expert, but do we have any BC
experts here? I've a good friend who moved inside the
IOG/Cardano ecosystem 2 years ago, and he keeps me up on his
fascinations and responds to some of my own as best he can with my
limited appreciation. This MAGA/Trumpian late-adoption of
MemeCoinage only seems to muddy (en$hittify) the water.</p>
<p>With the Gates TerraPower effort afoot, might we expect <a
href="https://openai.com/index/announcing-the-stargate-project/">Stargate</a>
to put down at least one deep root in a former coal-mine turned
nuke-plant/data-center in under-regulated Wyoming?</p>
<p>Grumble,</p>
