Realism is often couched as a third way between optimism and
pessimism. But all 3 seem to me to assume some kind of
metaphysical commitment: optimism ← outcomes trend good, pessimism
← outcomes trend bad, realism ← there is an outside world and we
have access to it. But I propose a different third way (maybe a
fourth way if we place them all on a 2d plane): doubt or
agnosticism. Just stop putting your faith into anything, negative
or positive, real or fake, and you'll be just fine. Just let go...

Good points all, but where am I going to get my

Skepticism, Pragmatism, Realism as
third-way/middle-way/objective-way, all have a duplicitous feel to

I'll see our "middle way"s and raise us a <a

I'm doubting Palantir (or SpaceX) has a "middle way", much less a
"Beauty Way"... more like Nick/Stephen's <a
