Good analysis, Glen.  For those who didn't watch it, the "parallel world"
comments had to do with feelings both had after major tragedies in their
lives around age 10.  Both of their fathers died and, in Cooper's case, two
of his older brothers died in the accident with their father.  Both felt
new, major responsibilities relative to their mothers.  They both report
feeling like a different persons post tragedy and wonder how the the
earlier versions of themselves would have developed if the deaths hadn't
occurred.
