[FRIAM] World wide protests

Here are some photos from the East Bay suburbia from last night. It struck me as a little hysterical and socially tone deaf. This is a busy hardware store. They are apparently prying-off the plywood for the entrance every morning. (Where the plywood is would be glass otherwise.) These aren’t closed properties. The movie theater across the street just put Black Lives Matter on their display, which seems a much better response.

I was reading the NY Times and saw the aerial photo of the protest in Paris, and read about protests in many other countries.

It seems a lot like an immune response to an infection. I hope it doesn’t become a cytokine storm.
