[FRIAM] Rules of Play

Dear Friammers, 

Somebody a few days back made a post on play that seemed to suggest that
play could occur without rules .  That made me think about this video.  (I
am a sucker for these things.)  What are the rules that make it possible for
these very different creatures to play.

Not all dogs can manage this.  We had a dog that went most of the way
through a litter of kittens before we realized what was going on.  The
kittens didn't object; the mother didn't object;  he just kind of mouthed
them to death
