Thanks for another aphorism (quip?) in my bulging quiver of such...

As my dementia (as yet undiagnosed) progresses I will likely reduce 
(like in cooking reductions) to a thick scum of aphorisms...  what will 
the deglazing unto roux into gravy look like?
