[FRIAM] Cloud and ocean wave mammatus - any relation?

Nick,
i was watching a timelapse of a light storm this evening and the dynamic
reminded me of underwater filming of waves as they break. I'm wondering how
similar the dynamics may be for the "mammatus" structure. wiki
