Yes on both comments. But unions aren't on the tip of gig workers' tongues. There is a resurgence of thinking of trade work as honorable and proper, which it always has been despite the trend from the Boomers on to think of it as "menial".

And re: letting "them" suffer the consequences is reasonable, too. The trick is that it was *our* job to teach them non-zero-sum games. And we failed. So we will be lost, too. And that's fine with me. I've been lost for a while, at least since 2013.
