I was a little surprised (chagrined) to realize I'd topped the list by 
frequency of post ( and very likely by volume of text).  I'd be 
interested in a ranking of consequentiality which of course is in the 
eye of the beholder.   I could give my own ranking of how consequential 
many of your offerings have been here for me over the years, but 
naturally it is a multi-dimensional field of "optimality".   The broad 
spectrum of backgrounds and modes of thoughts present here have been 
valuable to me over this last 20+ years.

I believe we once had a broader international representation, and I 
recognize that a few are simply very low frequency posters. Sarbajit 
(india) and (probably unsubscribed now Mohammed al Begatey 
(Egypt/Sweden), Schlitz (Ecuador)...

We are very male-heavy here and I'd like to nod to.Merle for sticking in 
here with us.  Jenny Q still monitors and occasionally pops in and I'm 
pretty sure Dede Densmore withdrew entirely a long while ago..  Pamela 
was a strong voice before her passing in 2021...  we may well have a few 
"lurkers" as well.  I've lost at least one name I know to fit this 
category.

We are also pretty age/education/vocation sqewed toward "elder 
academic".   I don't know who our youngest members are,  Gil and Cody 
maybe?   Possibly Jon?  I think Roger Frye might be our eldest with a 
solid handful not far behind?

There is strong representation from the Computer 
Science/Engineering/Systems world but I really appreciate the 
complementary voices from the so-called "English Majors".   Jenny and 
Merle and Tom are the most obvious to me in this category...

There are also a few other names of those who have passed (Pamela, 
Vladimyr, Lissaman) and notably our resident ?founding? member who 
brought ethnography into our midst (name-brain-fade).

The Santa Fe Complex (sfX) contingent overlaps strongly and I sometimes 
lose track of the distinction.  And of course there are many other 
overlaps and partitionings...  BiosGroup escapees, SFI affiliations, 
Redfish/SimTable.

We also have the local in-person coffee group who are not consistently 
vocal here (notably Ed Angel).
