Yeah, I've been lucky enough to pursue tangents through most of my jobs. Back at Lockheed, one guy asked me why I took all those evening classes (some at the company, some at community college, some at UTA, etc). I never had a good response ... maybe because I wasn't curious enough? As I got older, my own curiosity took over and I didn't need the inspiration any more. It kinda blows my mind that people can get bored after their teenage years. I actually find myself *wishing* for boredom ... to be so relaxed, carefree, and incurious.
