Are you back from San Juan Island then?

What substitutes for the "mud bug" in that locale?   And do Cienegan's
actually "harvest" mud bugs from that pond?   I was surprised to find
them in the Rio Grande... I thought of them being strictly warm-water
creatures...   (e.g. Louisiana Bayou)
