I think the tinfoil hat crowd will have to raise their game a
little... what guage copper mesh will be required? And how do we keep
our grounding-rods grounded? Do we use pre-placed "safety" like
climbers do, clipping into grounding rods as we go or following a series
grounding busses everywhere?
And regarding the geothermal energy extraction, we could instead of
dragging the molten core to a standstill, pump it up with excess energy
from our PV/wind farms as a load leveling method? Maybe the boring
company can drill a hole to the core of Mars and drop a fusion "star"
down there? Or maybe if done just right the fusion star will be a fancy
plasma boring bit itself...
Ah! will the fun never end with technofuturism?
