[FRIAM] absurd: theater of?

glen's subject-heading "absurd" triggered my (way too) free associative
mind to zoom in/out/aside on "Theater of the Absurd" with the (obvious?)
theme that a great deal of what plays out on-list (aka FriAM Theater
Stage 1) is a bit absurdist (in the best way).   I believe that much of
our absurdist discursions (mea-culpa) begin and/or are framed as
attempts at serious Existential investigations:

**

  *

    *Existentialist Theater*:
Often uses *coherent, rational dialogue* to explore ideas. The
characters are typically articulate, even when grappling with
    existential uncertainty.

  *

    *Theater of the Absurd*:
Language is *broken, circular, repetitive*, or *nonsensical*.
Communication often *fails*, reinforcing the sense that language is
inadequate to express truth or meaning.
