And I think Hitler and Mussolini and Stalin (or their 
political/governance machines) all fit that trope?   War machine, 
Industrial machine, and Agricultural machine each jammed into existence 
through authoritarian coordination?

(one of) My current fascinations is in zoids and whether humans are 
nominally such in our in(ter)dependency with one another, 
infrastructure, religious, political, professional, cultural affiliations...
