Three most used non-biological examples I've seen are:

   - ferromagnetism (described with ising model)
   - Bénard cells (convection)
   - Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction

Practically any physical system that transacts forms of energy can have
critical regimes of phase transitions and would all qualify as complex
systems.
