Thanks, that interview is pretty great. She also mentions her work as "Nell",
where she digs deep into vulnerability, a place that Foster expresses little
historical interest in wanting to go as an actress. Is it *empathy* that an
actor experiences when they compartmentalize *into* such a character? What
is it to empathize with a fictional character, a phantom?
