[FRIAM] war footing

Send a swarm of drones with daisies to place in the Russian gun-bores?

I actually know two people who were *there* at Kent State, one a
hippy/flower-child putting the daisies in the rifle-bores and the other
an excruciatingly young National Guardsman trying to stay at attention
with a straight face while nubile hippy-girls danced around with said
daisies.   I can't say the effort was without consequence, but I would
have hoped for more.

We are overdue for "The Great Turning" as ideated by Joanna Macy
<https://www.joannamacy.net/main> whose resume is deep and eclectic.
She is well respected in the Systems Dynamics modeling world, in the
Western Buddhist community, and worked for both the CIA and the Peace
Corps during the Cold War.  As an acolyte of Erwin Laslo, she was an
early contributor to systems thinking and it's relationship to the
Buddhist concept of Dependent Co-arising.   The term Deep Ecology
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_ecology> is often associated with her.

Most relevant of her writings to this discussion is her /Coming Back to
Life: Practices to Reconnect Our Lives, Our World/
<https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/423116.Coming_Back_to_Life>//which
coined and elaborated the idea of a Great Turning (a bit like a
sociopoliticaleconomicspiritual "thermal inversion" that is overdue).
My favorite however is World as Lover, World as Self
